Wat Arun

A historic temple site that boasts magnificent structures protruding over the Bangkok cityscape, Wat Arun Temple is one of the most important sites of Buddhism built during the Ayuttaya period. The temple’s architecture is based on Khmer-style and it is significantly different from other temples in Thailand. The site’s historic splendour along with its unique architectural design brings in visitors from all over the world. The temple also adds more definition to the sunsets in Bangkok as the sun descends behind the tall 70 meter high spires.
